About BSSL
Being in existence for over 25 years, the Bruce Samlan Soccer League is the premier recreational/developmental soccer league in Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin.

As a recreational league, the focus is on the introduction and continued development of every players’ soccer knowledge and skill through ongoing coaches’ training and players’ clinics

Our league stresses learning and enjoyment of the sport and we are committed to the idea that the players have fun while learning the game. Our teams are separated into boys and girls teams after the youngest division (shooting stars-4 year olds) which is co-ed.

Registration Information

General Information

BSSL is an entity of the Hononegah Youth Soccer Association along with our sister organization, the Hononegah Lions Soccer Club. Together we are working to develop an area soccer program that will enable players to compete at any level they wish. The Bruce Samlan Soccer League is the first step for players ages 4-13. And the club level, competitive Hononegah Lions Soccer Club is the next step for our area players.
